Junior Olympic Fencing Championships

Qualifying Paths & Eligibility 2015 – Updated November 19, 2014

USA Fencing sent out updated qualification path information for the 2015 Junior Olympic Fencing Championships. Remember that once qualified, the entry deadline is January 12, 2015.

Greater Richmond Convention Center

General Requirements:

  1. Must be at least 13 years old by January 1
  2. Fencers younger than that must, by January 12, 2015, be on the Cadet point standings to be eligible for Junior events or on the Y14 point standings to be eligible for Cadet events.
  3. Must be US citizens or permanent residents.

Qualifications (Junior)

  1. Be on the Junior National Rolling Point Standings (NRPS) at the regular fee entry deadline*
  2. Be ranking in the Top 16 of the Cadet NRPS at the regular fee entry deadline*
  3. Be ranked in the Top 32 of the Junior Regional Circuit point standings at the regular fee entry deadline*
  4. Be ranked in the Top 25% in their Division’s Junior J.O. qualifying competition.

Qualifications (Cadet)

  1. Be on the Cadet National Rolling Point Standings (NRPS) at the regular entry fee deadline*
  2. Be ranked in the Top 32 of the Cadet Regional Circuit point standings at the regular fee entry deadline*
  3. Ranked in the Top 8 of the Youth 14 NRPS at the regular fee entry deadline*
  4. Be ranked in the Top 25% in their Division’s Cadet J.O. qualifying competition.

Important things to know:

The 2015 Junior Olympic Fencing Championships will be held in Richmond, VA at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
