The tests of female foil, male sword and female sabre, qualificative to the Olympic Games of Athens, behaviours yesterday, gave two qualifications for Athens.
Out of female foil, Ines Boubakri qualified herself for the Olympic tournament at the expense of the Egyptian woman Chaïma El Gammal on the score of 15 to 9. On the same score, her teammate Sondès Smandi (female sabre) acquired a place for Athens by eliminating Sénégalaise Tour Nafi.
As for Mohamed Ben Romdhane (male sword), it was inclined vis-a-vis the Algerian Sofiane El Aziz on the score of 15 to 10. On the whole, Tunisia will thus be represented by five escrimeurs: Hajer Hayouni (female sword), Sondès Semandi (female sabre), Ines Boubakri (female foil), Maher Ben Aziza (male foil) and Mohamed Rebaï (male sabre). These two last were already qualified through the world circuits.
