In his latest Washington Times column, DC Fencers Club member Damien Lehfeldt draws from his experience as a boxer, a fencer, a football player, and basketball player to create a compendium on being a good teammate in the sport of fencing.

Among his many words of advice:

  1. A good teammate will never coach against his/her fellow club mate. This applies to coaches within a club as well.
  2. For God’s sake, a good teammate will wash his/her uniform regularly because no one likes an unhygienic stinkball of a club mate.
