January 10, 2004: Austrian Christoph Marik took 1st place at the Coupe du Monde Qatar in Doah, Qatar. Marik is now 1st in the world rankings, 10 points ahead of 2003 World Champion Fabrice Jeannet. Yoeri Van Laecke placed second in the event, lifting him to 5th in the world standings.
