World Cup Report:May 2004 Men's Epee

While the Olympic bids are all set, there is still a good amount of fencing to do between now and Athens. The individuals and countries now are competing for valuable world cup points that will determine their seeding into the Olympic tournament. We have a brief rundown of the competitions that concluded in May, 2004.

Men’s Epee

This weapon contested 4 individual competitions in May, with Austria’s Christoph Marik winning 2 of the 4 World Cups. Marik won Heidenheim and Legnano while Rota of Italy took silver in Legnano and bronze in Innsbruck. Marik and Rota are still in a race for the #1 spot going into June.
