Kiefer Top-8 in Junior Womens Foil

Lee Kiefer led the US team at the Women’s Foil Junior World Championships with a 5th place finish. Nzingha Prescod took 12th and Margaret Lu 15th.  Earlier in the week Kiefer won the Cadet Women’s Foil world championship.

Inns Deriglazova (RUS) dominated for most of the day. Her only close bout was a 15-11 victory over teammate Ekaterina Kazhikina (RUS).

Deriglazova crushed Anita Blaze (FRA) 15-6 in the finals.

Junior Men’s Epee:

Nikita Glazkov (RUS) edged out Alexandre Bardenet (FRA) 15-14 in the gold medal bout. Earlier in the day Glazkov knocked out US fencer Michael Raynis 15-12.

Raynis was the top US finish at 12th. Jonathan Yergler (USA) placed 55th and Alen Hadzic (USA) finished 114th.
