Day One of the 2009 Cadet & Junior World Championships featured an all-USA final in Cadet Women’s Foil as Nzingha Prescod defended her crown against team member Lee Kiefer. Margaret Lu rounded out the US team with a 12th place finish.
In Cadet Men’s Sabre, Russia’s Kamill Ibragimov took the cadet men’s sabre title, defeating Austria’s Mattias Willau. USA’s Michael Mills came in 20th, Alexander Ryjik 33rd, and Will Spear 67th.
