TUNIS – Three Tunisians, two Algerians and a Congolais won qualifications to the Athens Olympic Games at the African Zonal Qualifying tournament held in Tunis. 

17 fencers from 6 countries participated in the event.


One will note in particular the qualifications of Congolais Kembé Sorel-Arthur and Tunisian the Ines Boubakri, Hajer Hayouni and Sondès Smandi.


These six winners of the tournament of Tunis, which was held in the presence of the president of the international federation of fencing, Rene Roche, come to be added to the fencers already qualified for the summer Games.
