Tim Morehouse overcame an early deficite and defeated Ben Igoe to win the 2010 US National Championship in Men’s Sabre.  Ben Igoe started the gold medal bout strong, taking an 8-3 lead into the one minute break.

Igoe pushed his advantage to a 12-6 lead in the second period before Morehouse started a comeback and knotted the score at 13 all.  Igoe and Morehouse traded touches again to tie the score at 14 all and then Morehouse scored the deciding touch to win 15-14 on a riposte.

    pointless? is that a sabre pun? nonetheless, sabre has an intermission at 8 points since no bout ever reaches the 3-minute mark.
