In the next version of LEGO’s popular minifigures series, they are including a fencer among the available minifigures.
The LEGO fencer was spoiled on LEGO’s Facebook page but also referenced in the LEGO wikia for set 71008: Minifigures Series 13. Here it is in all it’s glory:
Yes, we know it’s been posed holding the epee in the wrong hand. Perhaps the fencer is coming up to strip for testing weight and shims.
From what we can see, the fencer is right handed, with the right hand white to represent a glove and the left hand in the minifig flesh color. The mask is also much better than prior “fencer” minifigure iterations which were custom jobs using samurai helmets or whatever other pieces could approximate a fencing mask.
This set will come to market in January 2015 and the minifigures are sold blind sealed, so you can either take a few shots at trying to get one from the blind packs or wait for them to show up on eBay.
