Emily Jacobson overcame a slow start in the preliminary round and sped to winning the National Championship in Women’s Sabre at the US Fencing National Championships.
Beijing Olympian Seth Kelsey defeated teammate Cody Mattern 15-11 to claim the Men’s Epee title.
Jacobson, an Atlanta native and member of the United States’ 2004 Olympic Team defeated fourth-seeded Samantha Roberts in the final, 15-8.
