One of the lesser publicized disciplines at the US Fencing National Championships are the various wheelchair fencing events. These athletes have amazing body and point control. If you ever get the chance to face off against one of them in a chair, do it. It’s sobering to try fencing without being able to move your feet to dodge out of the way of an oncoming attack.
